TORRANCE, Calif.—On October 19th,
Doffin Investments will host Investing Like a Robot, an open house
and free art exhibition featuring the work of some of the South Bay’s most
talented visual artists. The latest in Doffin’s ongoing series of free art
events, Investing Like a Robot
promises to be the best yet including dozens of works by acclaimed artists
Frank Minuto, Parker Dunbar, Gilbert Iniquez and Carlos Hernandez.

The title of the event derives from Frank Minuto’s playful Toy
Robots series originally exhibited at Terminal 1 at LAX in 2010. Minuto’s
work has been the subject of one-person shows across the United States and is
included in the permanent collections of Petropavlovsk, Kamchatka Museum in
Russia and the Museum of Art in Nagasaki, Japan. Minuto, whose studio is in San
Pedro, has also shown at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Museum of
Latin American Art.

Doffin has hosted a number of open house art exhibitions
over the past two years. They have proven extremely popular, drawing large
crowds and resulting in a number of sales of featured art works.
