Georgia Night in L.A will be held Friday, June 24th

designed to strengthen ties with producers who’ve brought projects to the state
in the past or are considering doing so in the future. It will include an
appearance by Georgia Governor Nathan Deal who will address the state’s
commitment to support the production industry. Last year’s event attracted a
crowd of more than 250 industry professionals. Expected to attend this year are
representatives of Warner Bros., Paramount Pictures, NBC/Universal and Netflix,

Georgia has become a major center for film and television
production, in part due to generous tax incentives offered by the state. It has
developed a strong infrastructure to support production and seen a steady
uptick in production activity.

uptick in production activity.
SIM Group has been a strong contributor to that growth. In
2013, the company expanded its Georgia operations, which includes offices of
SIM Digital, which rents cameras and other production gear, and Bling Digital,
which provides dailies and workflow services. The two companies provide turnkey
solutions for productions throughout the state and the region. SIM Digital and
Bling Digital have or are currently providing rentals and support to the
Georgia-based television series Brockmire
(IFC), Stranger Things (Netflix), The Vampire Diaries (CBS) and Halt
and Catch Fire (AMC).

“Georgia’s film market tax incentives have been an
unqualified success,” says Ann DeGuire, President of SIM Group’s Camera
Division. “We want to remind producers of the many benefits to shooting in the state,
including the presence of strong brick and mortar support companies like SIM
Digital and Bling Digital.”
