Cloud-based platform-as-a-service
empowers content owners with integrated tools for producing, managing,
marketing and distributing content.

Los Angeles— At this month’s American Film Market in Santa Monica, WCPMedia Services will demonstrate WCPWeb App, the
cloud-based media-management platform that is revolutionizing the way
independent filmmakers market and distribute content. Used by producers,
distributors, film festivals and others worldwide, WCPWeb App is a
platform-as-a-service solution offering a suite of tools for storing, managing,
marketing and distribution. It is the simplest, fastest, most secure and most effective
way to deliver content.

“We provide producers and distributors with the tools they need to
take control of their content,” says WCPMedia
Services Kenneth Yas. “Our platform makes it very easy to deliver content to
buyers and broadcasters worldwide in the format that they require. It’s also a
powerful sales platform that can be used to develop new markets. It represents
a quantum leap forward over physical distribution or other means of digital
delivery that are cumbersome and slow.”

WCPMedia Services will be
present at AFM at Stand 7B.

WCPWeb App offers integrated and streamlined workflows for
production, post-production, promotion and distribution. Content owners upload
master files to cloud-based servers and use a simple UI to manage and share
content. The platform leverages leading edge transcoding, rendering and storage
technology to make the management of very large media files—up to and including
4K—quick and efficient. It also employs Tier 4 data center security, similar to
that used by large financial institutions, to guard against piracy.

Entertainment studio Electus, producers of such shows as Style by Jury, Wake Up Call and House of DVF¸
is using every day WCPWeb App to distribute content to broadcasters around the
globe. Producers of the indie feature Radio
Free Albemuth
, recently used WCP to promote the film and securely deliver it
to Kickstarter backers. The platform was also used during the production of The Young Pope, a joint Sky, HBO and
Canal Plus production, to share editorial and review media.
At AFM, WCPMedia Services
will demonstrate a number of new and enhanced features of the platform. One new
feature allows for the use of virtual screening rooms for content promotion.
“Users can set up multiple screening rooms in order to target individual buyers
with catalogs and promotional media tailored to their genre or programming
preferences to monitor access and gauge interest,” Yas explains. The company
will also showcase the platform’s choices for high-speed file transfers,
including Aspera and Signiant.
WCPWeb App has not previously been shown at AFM. “We’re
excited to introduce our platform to producers, distributors and buyers at this
global film event,” says Yas.
