Free video conference slated for Thursday, October 15th at 4:00 p.m.
NEW YORK CITY—On the heels of World Mental Health Day, Post New York Alliance (PNYA) will unveil strategies for maintaining mental health at a time of unprecedented stress in the next edition of its weekly webinar series Post Break. Titled Building Mental Resilience in the Age of COVID, the session will feature a diverse panel of experts with unique insights into mental well-being and how it applies to life in the post-production industry. They will discuss simple techniques for dealing with anxiety, maintaining a positive outlook and remaining productive even in a year that’s been rated as the most stressful on record.
The free event is slated for Thursday, October 15th at 4:00 p.m. (EDT). Following the webinar, attendees will have an opportunity to join small, virtual breakout groups for discussion and networking.
Debby Germino is a film and television editor (Fargo, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Smallville, Genius), endurance athlete and author of the Happiness in Training publication on Medium. She writes about happiness, health and mindful living, and enjoys supporting others in creating happy and fulfilling lives.
Michelle Colt is a nervous system expert who has taught the program Inside Game® in New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco for 16 years. Her clients consistently experience rich, powerful, lasting career and life changes. They “let go” of resistances and fears holding them back and feel a rich connection to the pulse of life.
Lillian Gallina is a licensed clinical social worker at the Actors Fund where she supervises the Mental Health Program in the Eastern Region, which provides emergency financial assistance, clinical case management and mental health services to entertainment professionals. She also leads workshops and training programs on topics including Responding to Sexual Harassment, Addressing Workplace Dynamics, Managing Anxiety and Depression and Identifying and Responding to Substance Abuse.
Isabel Sadurni has worked in documentary filmmaking for nearly 20 years. She has contributed to feature-length documentaries and short narratives that have screened at top-tier festivals including Berlin, Telluride and Tribeca and aired on HBO, PBS and The Discovery Channel. Her credits included the recent releases What She Said: The Art of Pauline Kael and The American Nurse.
