MTI Film recently completed a 4K restoration of Time Piece, a 1965 short film written, directed and starring the late Jim Henson. The story of a man’s desperate attempt to escape the passage of time, the short received an Academy Award nomination and is a testament to Henson’s underappreciated work as an experimental filmmaker.
Continuing to add resources for motion picture and television sound, Sony Pictures Post Production Services today announced the opening of three theater-style studios inside the Stage 6 facility on the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City.
Pace Pictures provided post-production services for a remarkable series of live videos by breakout artist Benedict Cork. The five videos were recorded at Red Gate Recorders in Eagle Rock, California and are being released individually, one per month, in support of Benedict’s debut EP The Piano Tapes.

Pace Pictures recently hosted international filmmakers from the Global Cinematography Institute for an intensive, hands-on workshop on color grading. Participants included students from China, Israel, Argentina and elsewhere enrolled in a course entitled Advanced Post-Production (DI) for Cinematographers.
