This year’s Pepsi Super Bowl LV Halftime Show got off to an unforgettable start thanks in part to the wizardry of MOD
Ariana Grande, Cardi B, H.E.R., Lizzo and Normani are not only among the top contenders in this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, all are also beneficiaries of the magic of MOD. The boutique visual effects studio created fantastical imagery for videos by each of those artists and others vying for coveted VMA “Moon Man” statuettes.
MOD is firing on all cylinders. The boutique visual effects studio has moved into a spacious, new, bungalow-style facility and two of its recent projects, the Travis Scott video Sicko Mode and Jay Rock’s Win¸ have earned Grammy nominations for their music.
In a tour de force effort, boutique visual effects studio MOD teamed with director Dave Meyers for Sicko Mode, the trippy, new music video from artist Travis Scott, featuring Drake. Led by creative director/VFX supervisor Les Umberger, MOD produced nearly 200 visual effects shots in a month for the video, a surreal tribute to Scott’s hometown of Houston.
